The Flin Flon Heritage Project is pleased to offer the 2025 Edition of the Flin Flon calendar and notecards featuring the incredible photos of Flin Flon resident Randy Whitbread. Once again Randy has generously allowed us to sell his calendars as a fund raiser for the project.
The price for the calendars is $23.50 each and for the packs of 12 note cards $15.00. Price for each includes postage anywhere in Canada. We can send to other countries upon request. Shipping costs for more 10 or more combined in one package will be quoted. Postage costs are subsidized by a generous donation to help us offset costs. There will be no postage or shipping charged on items picked up in Morden or at the Flin Flon lunches in Winnipeg.
For in person sales, payment by cash or personal cheque. For items mailed, Interac e-transfer is greatly preferred but you can mail a cheque or money order. Credit card payments are possible via PayPal or Square but there will be a 5% surcharge to offset the service fees charged to accept the payment.
This year, all net funds will be used to support a scholarship fund set up in 2023 by the Flin Flon Heritage Project with The Northern Neighbours Community Foundation. The scholarship was named to honour Doug Evans to recognize his tireless unending work and commitment to preserving the history of Flin Flon. The Doug Evans Heritage Project Award for the Preservation of Flin Flon and District History will be awarded annually to one or more graduating students from Hapnot Collegiate or Creighton Community school. This is an ongoing fund that will award scholarships annually in perpetuity.
Northern Neighbours Community Foundation provides the citizens and friends of Cranberry Portage, Creighton, Denare Beach, Flin Flon, Sherridon and Snow Lake with the opportunity to invest in the future of their community and region forever. As stated on their website “The Foundation is ideal for those wishing to make their gift last forever”.
I can personally attest to the power and lasting affect of receiving a financial boost after graduating from high school. This can be a life changing event for a student. Receiving recognition from your community is a powerful message that will last a lifetime.
Please consider purchasing these calendars and cards to support this scholarship. Also, you may choose to make a tax deduction contribution to the scholarship. Please ask me for details on how to do this.
Even if you don’t want a calendar for yourself (which I personally find odd!), please consider buying a few for gifts. They are always welcomed and very popular. Every sale helps us preserve the history of Flin Flon and support our youth.
