Bussinesses Lamonts Hardware Store

The original building was Jack Hone's store on the mine site next to the staff house. It was moved when the Royal Bank moved to the corner of Second Avenue and Main it was positioned next to it. Lamont, an employee of Jack Hones took over the business. Later it became the PK Hardware and then the WB hardwar.

Businesses F. A. Schieders Mens Wear

Frank and Clara Schieder came to Flin Flon by canoe in 1929 with a stock of socks, overalls, rubber boots and mackinaw shirts. Their first store was in a tent. The building on the South East Corner of Second Avenue and Main Street was completed around 1930. Clara Schieder was an accomplished artist and created many interesting window displays for the F. A. Schieder Store

Businesses Northern Grocery

Northern Grocery on Main Street was owned by Jack and Zita Rosen until 1948/49 when the family moved away and ultimately resettled in Edmonton. During those years Northern Grocery also operated a successful cordwood operation around Beaver Lake supplying heat to Flin Flon, including to the hospital, during the WWII.
