HBM&S Establishment Transportaton The "Tote Road"
This road ran from the dock at Channing to the warehouse at the mine site near Mile 86. During the period before the completion of the Railway material was shipped from Camp 2 on Athapap and later from Cranberry Portage to the Mine using the Steamboats Notin and Tonopah and hauled to t he mine by Transport Limited.using horses.
