The Early Years 1940-1957. Armoury Opening November 17, 1956.

In May of 1950, the Squadron was called out for duty in the Winnipeg Flood. A force of 40 of all ranks performed an outstanding job during the next three weeks building dykes in Fort Garry, a road to by-pass the Pembina Subway, a bridge in St. Boniface and many other Engineer tasks.

Inspections and Awards 1960's forward. Over the years, annual inspections and awards have played an important part in the units history. Freedom of the City of Flin Flon. On the 1st of May 1982, the squadron was granted Freedom Of the City by his Worship Mayor Nazir Ahmed.

T.Eaton Competitions: During the latter half of the 1970's, the unit competed in several competitions held in Winnipeg, under the control of Manitoba District. Winter Warfare: As equipment became available in the mid 1970's. the squadron initiated an extensive yearly winter warfare programme. Range Practices: Twice yearly, the unit conducts range qualification and grenade training at MTC, Dundurn

The Squadron, since the mid 1970's has undertaken the planning and and construction of several bridges of this nature, due to the fact that such projects enable the unit to fully exercise its resources and skills. Included in this album are photos of the Comack bridge (MTC Dundurn 1976), the Chouinard bridge (MTC Dundurn 1977) and the Lakeside Park bridge (Flin Flon 1980).

Field Training: Since the early 1970's, the unit has [aced special emphasis on this aspect of training, at LHQ level. Demolitions Training 1980's: The squadron conducts this type of training at MTC Dundurn due to lack of facilities in the local area. Training includes cratering, steel cutting, rigging, etc. EWBB Construction: "Yee Old Bridge" still remains as the basic structure for training bridge planning and construction. The training takes place at the armoury over a dry/wet gap. Squadron Demonstrations: From time to time, the unit executes a major equipment display for public relations and recruitment purposes. Remembrance Day: November 11, 1983. The unit is an active participant in all Remembrance Day services in Flin Flon and continues to honour those who served Canada.

Training December 1985 to May 1986. Contents include: Ex Polar Repulse II (December 6-8, 1985), Winter Warfare (1985-86), Water supply training ( October 1985), Annual Inspection ( May 11, 1986), Exercise "Rapier Plunge I" (May 9-11, 1986)
